Gomersal headed to Carlton Athletic on Saturday 28th September.

Always a tough place to go and a tough team to face.

Carlton started much brighter and was 1-0 up after 6 minutes. The goals continued to flow for Carlton with back to back goals on the 17th and 21st minute. Gomersal caught cold 3-0 within the first 25 minutes.

Now with a mountain to climb a lot was needed from Gomersal who managed to score through a header from midfielder Nathan Willoughby. All hopes of a come back were quickly put to bed by Carlton who scored a 4th on the 45 minute mark.

A disappointing result against a team we know will be battling towards the top of the table come the end of the season.
