b]Hunsworth FC[/b] was founded in 1986 by a group of local lads who frequented the Savile Arms pub in the village of Hunsworth, near to Cleckheaton. They were originally called Savile Arms FC and joined the Heavy Woollen Sunday League.
In 1988 those players wanted to play at an even better standard of football and joined the West Riding County Amateur League in Division 3 as Savile Arms, playing on Saturday afternoons.
In 1992 the club changed its name to Hunsworth FC, continuing in the WRCAFL on Saturdays and the HWSL on Sundays.
The club was affiliated to the West Riding County FA, gained FA Charter Standard in 2013 and maintained that status ever since.
